# Add a featured image to a page or post

Most themes accommodate featured images to any page, post or custom post type. Featured images will be resized depending on the theme specifications and will be displayed where the theme has it displayed.

Featured images can be added in the right column of the post/page editor.

- In the *Featured Image*box, click *Set Featured Image*. Media Library will be displayed.
- Select one of the existing images in the library, or click *Upload Files* tab to upload a new image.
- After selecting the image click the button ***Set Featured Image***.
