Andre is a stylish and modern WordPress theme. It is designed for freelancers and will help you display your work and sell your products and services with ease.
Theme installation
Unzip file andre_unzip_first.zip that you downloaded from us and install andre.zip file. Read more how to install a theme →
Required plugins
WooCommerce: This plugin is required if you are planning to sell your products or services.
Jetpack: This plugin is required for your portfolio and infinite scroll for blog posts, projects and WooCommerce products.
Contact Form 7: This plugin is required to create a contact form. The theme includes styling for this plugin.
Please install these plugins before importing the demo content.
Making theme look like demo

Adding a logo image
Go to Appearance → Customize → Site Identity to add a logo image or edit your site title or tagline. Learn how to update your site identity →
Setting up the menu
This theme has two menu locations, the Primary Menu (main menu) and Social Menu (the menu to display your social media profiles). Create menus and assign them to each of the available locations. Learn how to setup WordPress menus →

Social media icons
This theme will automatically display links to your social media profiles as icons, using a Custom Menu. Learn how to setup social media menu →
Configuring the front page
In the front page below the header image, this theme will display the latest posts by default. You can assign a static page to display in front instead of the latest posts. Learn how to display a static page in front →
This way you can have the Home Page template or another static page display in front instead of the latest posts.
Home page template
This theme comes with a custom made template to create an attractive and very functional home page, just like in our demo.

Top Widget
At the left of the Home Page template there is a widget location named Top Widget. In your Dashboard go to Appearance → Widgets and add a paragraph block to this location. Learn how to add widgets →
You can edit the text and colors of the animated skills below the top widget block via the theme options.
Header Image
In your Dashboard go to Appearance → Customize → Header Images. Add the image you want to display in the Home Page. You can add more than one and randomize them. Header image size is 700x832px.
Portfolio
This theme uses Jetpack portfolios. To use this feature you need to install the Jetpack plugin as explained above.Learn how enable Jetpack portfolios →
Add your portfolio archive in the menu by following the instructions in the tutorial above. You can edit the title of the archive in the Theme Options.

WooCommerce
The theme does not need any special settings for WooCommerce, it is setup to work out of the box.

Infinite scroll
Infinite scroll displays an Older Posts button or pulls the next posts automatically into view when the reader approaches the bottom of the page instead of the default post navigation. This feature requires Jetpack plugin installed. Learn how enable Jetpack infinite scroll →
Block patterns
WordPress has introduced the ability to create pre-designed block patterns that you can use like a block template in any page or post. This theme comes with four pre-designed blocks that you can use anywhere in your website.

Team members
This block is designed to display a three column responsive layout that you can use to display your team member. It includes an image, the person’s name and the job title. You can add more information to each column if you wish.
Note that you can use this block more than once in any page to display any number of team members.
Suggested image size is 480x560px.
Partners
This block is designed to display a four column responsive layout that you can use to display your partners or brands. It includes a logo with or without link.

Editing colors
You can edit most colors of this theme under Appearance → Customize → Colors.
Page templates
- Home page: Custom page to display in front.
- Default: Content page.
Widgets
- Sidebar: This location is visible in the right of of the overlay menu.
- Top widget: Visible in the Home Page template.
Featured Images sizes
- Blog featured images: 1300px wide with flexible height.
- Portfolio featured images: 800x532px.
